Terms and Conditions
Understand the terms that govern your use of Northdene's website, services, and content. Transparency and clarity guide everything we do.
1. Introduction
These terms and conditions (‘Terms’) govern your use of the Northdene Dental Surgery website at northdenedental.co.uk (the ‘Website’) and apply to anyone who visits, browses, or submits information through it. They sit alongside and do not replace the clinical consent you give before any dental treatment, and our separate Complaints Policy and Privacy Policy.
By continuing to use this Website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of them, please stop using the Website and contact us directly on 01483 560 068.
Northdene Dental Surgery is operated by Northdene Services Ltd, trading as Northdene Dental Surgery, of 13 London Road, Guildford, Surrey, GU1 2AA.
2. Information on this website
We take care to keep the information on this Website accurate and up to date, including our opening hours, treatments, and fees. However, dentistry is a clinical field, and the right treatment for you can only be confirmed following an examination by one of our dentists. Nothing on this Website should be treated as personal clinical advice, a diagnosis, or a substitute for an in-person consultation.
Prices shown on this Website are a guide only. Your dentist will always confirm the exact cost of any recommended treatment, in writing, before that treatment begins.
3. Booking an appointment
Appointments can be booked by phone, in person, or using the online booking form on this Website. Submitting a booking request does not guarantee an appointment until it has been confirmed by a member of our reception team.
If you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment, please give us as much notice as possible by calling 01483 560 068.
4. NHS and private treatment
Northdene Dental Surgery provides both NHS and private dental treatment. NHS charges are set by the NHS and organised into bands; we will always confirm which band applies before any NHS treatment begins. Private fees are quoted and agreed with you in writing before treatment begins. Details of our current fees are available on our Fees page.
5. Using this website
You may use this Website for your own personal, non-commercial use, for example, to find out about our treatments, our team, or to book an appointment. You must not:
- use the Website in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Website or our systems
- copy, reproduce, or republish any content from this Website without our written permission
- use any automated system (such as a bot or scraper) to access or extract content from this Website
6. Intellectual property
All content on this Website, including text, images, our logo, and design is owned by or licensed to Northdene Dental Surgery and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may view and print pages for your own personal use, but you may not copy, distribute, or use any content for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.
7. Links to other websites
This Website may contain links to third-party websites, including the NHS, the General Dental Council (GDC), and the Care Quality Commission (CQC). These links are provided for your convenience. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of any external website, and including a link does not mean we endorse it.
8. Liability
We will do our best to keep this Website accurate, secure, and available. However, we do not guarantee that the Website will always be available, uninterrupted, or free from errors. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Northdene Dental Surgery is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, this Website.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability which cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
9. If you are unhappy with our service
We hope you never need to use this section. If you have a concern about your care or any aspect of our service, please speak to a member of our team in the first instance, most issues can be resolved quickly and informally.
If you would prefer to make a formal complaint, our full Complaints Policy explains how to do this and what happens next. In summary:
- You can complain verbally, in writing, or by email
- Our Complaints Lead, Ivana McLaughlin, will acknowledge your complaint within 3 working days
- We aim to resolve complaints within 10 working days of acknowledgment, and will explain if more time is needed
- Complaints should normally be made within 12 months of the issue arising
If you remain unhappy once we have investigated, you can contact:
- The Care Quality Commission (CQC), for feedback on care: cqc.org.uk/give-feedback-on-care
- Your NHS Integrated Care Board (ICB), for NHS-funded treatment
- The Dental Complaints Service, for private treatment: dcs.gdc-uk.org
